Our Founder & Director
Justin Kalama has been making music for over 20 years, with experiences ranging from being the frontman of his first band out of high school, to traveling and performing in different countries, to winning a golden ticket on American Idol, to helping write and record worship albums for his church, where he has served as a Worship Pastor for the last decade.

Justin launched Creative Music South Bay in 2022 with the vision to provide a music education service that not only helps students learn music, but to fall in love with the creative process and the experience of songwriting.
​
Justin is married and has three kids of his own. The Kalama's are a homeschool family that believe the family unit and the freedom to be curious are imperative in education.
