What happens during a Little Waves music class?Little Waves music class is a group class (up to 12 children) that includes a sequence of songs performed by a live musician instructor. The songs are designed to invite children to engage music through singing, dancing, movement patterns, and more. You can expect to be sitting on the ground or in a chair with your child and actively playing, singing, and engaging in the music with your child. The musical program is the same program each week so that children can begin to learn the songs and anticipate their favorite moments each week! A normal class schedule is: - First 15 minutes: Arrival and free play - Musical program (approximately 30-40 minutes.) - Little Waves Goodbye Song & Hand Stamp The full duration is approximately 50 minutes.

What is the "Reservation Fee" and "Class Fee"?There are two fee's associated with Little Waves: 1) RESERVATION FEE ($50 per child): The one-time reservation fee of $50 secures your child's spot for the duration of the entire 8-week session. You cannot reserve a spot for a single class within the 8-week session. The reservation fee is required for each child in your family above 1 years old. If you miss a class during the session, you do not receive a portion of your reservation fee back. The reservation fee is non-refundable after January 7th, 2025. 2) CLASS FEE ($10 per family, when you come): Once you have reserved your child's spot, you pay $10 for your family when you attend a class. A QR code for Venmo and Zelle will be available at class. If you miss class, you do not pay the class fee. For additional clarity: If a family with one child attends all 8 classes in this session, the total cost will be $130. ($50 + $80) A family with two children will be $180. ($50 + $50 +80) A family with three children will be $230. ($50 + $50 + 50 +80)

Are there make-ups for missed classes? No, there are no make-ups or refunds for missed classes. If you are unable to attend a class during the session, you do not need to pay the class fee of $10 per family.
-
What if my child is sick?If you or your child feel ill in any way, please stay home and get well soon! If you or your child show signs of illness during class, our music instructor will kindly ask you to return the following class. We appreciate your compliance. If you miss class, you do not need to pay the $10 Class Fee.
-
What does "Parent/Caregiver Participation" mean?Class is best when parents (or the grown-up accompanying the child) participates by sitting with their child and engaging the songs and activities the class offers. If you have a physical hindrance that limits your participation, please let our instructor know and we will accommodate you the best way we can. Parents are fully responsible for their child's behavior and actions during the entirety of the class.
-
Do I need to bring anything to class? You don't need to bring anything to class. We provide clean rugs on the floor, chairs for some of the grown ups, and all the musical instruments and toys necessary for class. We ask that you leave other instruments or toys at home or in the car so they will not be a distraction to other children during class.
-
Is there a drop-in price? How about a free introductory class? No, we do not allow regular drop-in's at class. We do allow one free introductory class during the 8 week session. If you choose to join the class after your introductory lesson, you will pay the full $50 reservation fee to join the class, despite what week you join. You also have the option to wait until the next 8-week session to join. Contact Justin @ 310-294-7878 to request an introductory class.
